History
The Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) and the Apartment Owners & Managers Association (AOMA) are trade associations representing the commercial, office, and apartment industries in the State of Wisconsin. The two organizations have a common Board of Directors, but separate national affiliations.
BOMA was formed in the depression to help owners cope with the depressed real estate market, provide for peer interchange, and work together on governmental matters. Our local commercial and office members belong to BOMA International.
The apartment sector (AOMA) was formed in 1974 and gave apartment owners the opportunity to participate in a group devoted to their industry. The apartment members belong to the National Apartment Association (NAA).
